Track Info

Retama Park has both a dirt track as well as a turf track, the dirt track is a one mile oval and has a 990 foot stretch to the finish after the final turn whilst the turf track is just seven furlongs.

The quarter horse season runs from April 25th to June 22nd and thoroughbred racing begins on September 5th and ends on November 22nd. Simulcast racing is displayed throughout the year and admission is $2 whilst on live racing days the price of admission goes up to $2.50.

Retama Park is located in northeast San Antonio near the intersection of IH-35 and Loop 1604, about 20 minutes from downtown San Antonio and the Riverwalk. Take exit 174A off IH-35.
